Great show, Harry! I just ordered the book from Not Lame. Here are a few songs that I feel are powerpop killers:
Vandalias-Buzzbomb
Records-So Sorry, Starry Eyes
Elvis Brothers-Somebody Call the Police
Translator-Everywhere That I'm Not, Unalone
DM3-1 X 2 Xs Devastated (sp?)
Comateens-Resist Her
Sloan-Never Hear the End of It(the whole damn album-my favorite of 2007!)
Suede-Trash, Beautiful Ones
Chills-The Oncoming Day
Close Lobsters-Let's Make Some Plans
Buzzcocks-Totally From the Heart

Of course, I could rattle off more goodies that might be debatable (Sparks, House of Love, ELO, Squeeze, etc.). By the way, do you remember a song called "She Didn't Read My Poem"? I heard it on WORT in the late '80s. I also would like to pursue that Aussie band called the Moths that I heard you play moons ago. Thanks!

Dirk
